  • Abstract

    Considering that the performing non-consensual, binary-affirming, intersex genital childhood surgery has been common practice in many countries worldwide since at least the 1960s, it is alarming that only recently have researchers begun studying adult outcomes. This study is the first that looks at the physical and mental health of intersex adults in the United States.
